Rachelle McGowan

Rachelle was raised in Grey/Bruce County with her younger brother. She has always had a love and passion for animals, especially horses. She has been riding since the age of 4, competes in Eventing and is also not afraid to get her hands dirty! After high school she attended the Performance Horse Handler program from the University of Guelph and graduated in 2015. Afterwards, she has worked in multiple equestrian facilities, in positions such as stable hand/manager/coach and has worked under a vet at a thoroughbred breeding/layup farm. In 2019 she got married to her husband Cameron and in 2021 they welcomed their son Myles. He keeps them very busy, being a very smart, independent, and active boy!

Rachelle joined the UGVS team to expand her knowledge in the Ag world and to try something new, now that her little one has grown up some. In her spare time, Rachelle loves to spend time with her family outdoors, be at the barn with her horse Rosa and go for walks with their dog Rosie.

She is very excited to be a part of the Upper Grand team and cannot wait to assist and meet everyone!
