She continued her education focusing on Business Management and Accounting. Throughout her career in business consulting, she has supported clients in such industries like Agriculture, Veterinary Science & Pharmaceuticals, Healthcare, Wholesale, Distribution & Packaging, Media, and Non-Profit. Marlene has been working with Swackhammer Veterinary Services since its onset in 2010 and continues as Director of Finance & Administration for Upper Grand Veterinary Services. Outside of work, Marlene and her husband Terry work in partnership operating their second-generation family farm in Centre Wellington. More recently they dispersed their registered dairy herd, Terrylee Jerseys, but continue to cash crop the farm. They have one daughter, Stephanie, who stays active in the agricultural community and is a Kinesiology graduate from Dalhousie University.
