Progressive, passionate leadership is the cornerstone of our business.
We put our clients and their animals first, but our commitment goes well beyond that. Our role is also to help you be ready for new regulations, technologies and protocols. We excel at leadership in our area of specialization, so you can better navigate this changing landscape and select the new tools that will help you improve productivity and profitability.
This statement applies acutely to our current COVID-19 pandemic world. We are all finding new ways to keep our lives and the health of our animals on track during this crisis and want to be mindful of the health of farm families and reduce on-farm traffic if necessary. Upper Grand Veterinary Services is remaining agile and committed to your animals’ health during this unprecedented time and we are taking recommendations from all levels of government to heart while continuing to offer your livestock the best possible care.
In addition to measures we have already implemented, we are now available for Telehealth Consultations. These consultations cannot replace all on-farm visits from our vets, but there are times when a remote appointment through phone calls, photographs or video chat may allow us to maintain social distancing while still offering appropriate care.
A telehealth appointment is similar to our regular on-farm calls. When calling in, please remember to ask for a telehealth consultation. A receptionist will schedule an appointment with one of the vets on duty that day. At the appointed time, a vet will call you to conduct a remote visit. Unlike a regular visit, no mobile fee is necessary. You will only be charged for the professional time taken to assess the case, determine a diagnosis and develop a treatment plan.
If you are not sure whether your animal’s sickness or injury requires an on-farm visit or might be taken care of through a telehealth consultation, please give us a call and we will make sure you get the appropriate care for each situation that arises.
Please, stay home, stay safe and know that we are still here for you when you need us.
